Free 1.6 block to good home
Has ~90K miles no rust in the bores, I've kept them oiled down, everything that's needed is there, I can even throw in the pan and oil pump.
If you come pick it up it's yours.
Also If you want it but live too far away I'll be going to the Miata Challenge event at TWS next week and I can bring it there.

It's a bare block with the maincaps, and oil squirters and a filter attatched too. I've got the oil pan and and oil pump sitting in the trash can right now but I can rescue them if you want. I've also got the crank, but the nose is broken off flush with the oil pump.

I tried selling it but no one wanted it.
I'd prefer not to bother with shipping since I would have to make a container for it.
Shipping will be expensive, it will probably be around $60-70 to ship if UPS will take it. Which they may not, and if they won't it'd have to be shipped frieght wich will probably be $150+

I don't understand where people get their shipping estimates from, I really don't.
For the record, I would NEVER use UPS to ship a block, period. They would charge too much, and probably throw the ******* thing off the back of the truck when it got there.
Check out freightquote.com for shipping prices via freight. Its not as much as you would think.
As far as making a container for it, just get a rubbermaid container and secure the block inside using some styrofoam from home depot, then strap the container to a free pallet that you can find almost anywhere, and you're good to go.
I can relate to not wanting to ship it if you don't have to, but its not a major ordeal if you did.
