Default 6-speed transmission

SOLD

6-speed transmission, no shifter. In good shape, was working fine when it came out of my car. I have two 6-speeds now, I thought I would need both, I do not, so one has to go.

I bought it from Gary at Track Dog Racing less than a year ago. He replaced the front and rear seals. There is a small leak from a bolt near the front seal but that should be an easy fix. Otherwise it is ready to go. I put about 3000 miles on it in my car and used a full synthetic gear oil.

I prefer a local sale, but I will ship it at the buyer's expense. $475 plus shipping. It cost about $100 to get it freighted from Dallas to San Antonio. For shipping estimates, use 78238 as a start point.

Also willing to swap for a hard top in good condition.

You might get some more interest if you post to dfwmiata and I can post it to the Austin email list for you if you'd like.

Yep, bolt-up. No need to change anything. In fact my car originally came with a 5-speed and I reused everything except the shifter.

Hard top trade no longer required. Tein Flex shocks are a possible trade item.

Also up for sale now on cr.n. Holy crap there is a lot of classified traffic over there.

I am not sure about that one. The NA guys might know. I have only used it with an electronic speedometer drive (which it has).

Price drop - $475 plus shipping

just fyi, I shipped mine UPS (on small brown truck) The six speed weighs 86 lbs I believe. Which is under the weight limit for shipping regular ups. I had it put in a box with a ton of heavy duty bubble wrap (kept weight down). From Memphis, TN to Huntsville, AL $56

bump for great price

Good to know about the shipping. It also saves the hassle of having to pick it up at a freight warehouse. Home freight delivery usually is considerably more expensive.

The mechanical speedo drive bolts right in place of the electronic one.

Chicksdigmiatas that would be cool since you are local. I have two buyers in front of you, then jtothawhat is after you. I'll get you a shipping quote to 60177 soon.

BTW no worries I will not drag this out. One way or the other I'll try to get through everyone this week.

Thanks TurboRoach I thought that was the case, just did not know for sure. Makes sense though since all of the NAs got the same 5-speed as far as I know, and the later NAs had electric speedometers. So it would have to be interchangeable.
