Default 1.8 (94-02) rear caliper brackets

got a pair of rear caliper brackets for sale, $50 shipped in the lower 48

one is in mint, almost new condition... the other has normal surface rust (i do live in new england..) but it is perfectly useable.

Well I get the brackets and they don't fit. After emailing therieldeal I get the following reply.

"These are actually brackets from a protege/escort. I really should have mentioned this, but i was very confident that they were the same."

No ferkin kidding, they are not even off a Miata!!!!! Were to these people come from, I just don't get it.
