Default FFS SC, '00 Engine, 4.3 Torsen Swap, and lots more....(LSX Swap Clearance)

Miata Driveline: 220rwhp Coldside Supercharged ’00 1.8 Engine, Transmission, Torsen, and other odds and ends.

Up for sale is the complete driveline out of my car plus some. I am planning on putting a LSX V8 in my car, and before I can do that, this must go. Everything is in great condition and still in the car. I can let you drive the car before buying.

This is my track/autocross car. I am not unhappy with its current performance; I’m just ready for the next project. This setup has helped me take many autocross raw/paxed FTDs and opened a few eyes at the track.

This setup is a little more than a year old, but my car is not daily driven. It has less than 1000 miles on it. It has 4 track weekends and about 12 autocrosses on it.

Engine: $1000
2000 1.8 liter.
50k miles on the engine.
The best flowing BP head is ported and polished, shaved .030”, and was rebuilt with new factory springs and fresh valve job almost a year ago.
Fidanza Cam gears.
Powder coated valve cover.
Mobile 1 oil always.
(Car put 130hp to the wheels naturally aspirated)

Forced Induction Package: $3700
FFS Coldside Supercharger.
115mm pulley (12psi)
Dual feed fuel rail.
Polished and port matched intake and SC plenum.
Custom intake manifold with water injection nozzle located where 5th injector typically is, and port for intake temp sensor (included)
Custom airbox with K&N filter.
AEM water injection.
ECU: Megasquirt PnP 90-93 with Knocksense

(Proven 220rwhp, theoretical 262hp at the crank attached to the engine listed above)

Tranny, Clutch, Flywheel:
5 spd Transmission 100k miles (Always Redline MTL) $100
8lb 1.6L Fidanza flywheel $250
ACT Extreme clutch kit (ZM1-XTMM) (Less than 5k miles) $250

1.6 to 1.8 Torsen swap package: $1000
4.30 ratio (out of a ’00, 74k miles)
1.8 differential housing with Poly bushings
Half Shafts
Drive shaft
Exhaust:
Racing Beat 4-1 Header (94-05) EGR tube no longer functional. $250
2.25” Test pipe $30
Jackson Racing 2.25 Cat back $200
Ebay Racing Beat wannabe header $50

Oil Cooler package: $200
2nd Gen RX7 Oil Cooler with mounting brackets for a NA
8AN lines
Sandwich plate

Gauges:
AEM Uego wideband w/ two sensors $175
Autometer Oil Temp (PN 4757) 0-300 $40
Autometer Boost (PN 4701) 0-20psi $40

Odds and Ends:
Rear license plate trim panel. (red and white) $75
440cc RC Engineering injectors with injector harness $200

I am in Chesapeake, VA 23320. Pickup would be preferred especially on the big items, but shipping is possible. Please plan on paying actual shipping cost.

Some pictures can be seen here: Picasa Web Albums - Shawn - Shawn - Miata

Obviously I can’t take pictures of everything right now, being that the car has not yet been taken apart. If there is something specific you would like a picture of, let me know and I will do what I can to get you a shot.

Shoot me a PM and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks,
Shawn

No! I want to drive your car, but I don't want to buy it.

I'm not sure when my next trip is down your way, but I may be interested in one of your headers. I don't personally care about the EGR, but emissions up here might. Did the ebay header fit properly?

I am interested in the oil cooler setup. Where does it mount on the car?

Come on down....There's an autocross this weekend. Sign up!

Tidewater Sports Car Club - Event Registration

The ebay header was a bit of a pain to get it in place, but once in place everything lined up well.

It mounts in front of the radiator. I made brackets to mount it to where the AC condenser used to mount.

I will take some more pictures after this weekend. I have one more autocross this Sunday, then I will start pulling everything apart.

You absolutely want to drive this car. I got to drive it once and had a blast, thanks again Shawn!

I cross posted this to our local autocross forum. GLWS but hate to see you do it.

Thanks Chris!

It's up 50hp and now has a 4.3 vs 4.1. Oh, and I fixed the brakes.

I wish you got to drive it in this state. It's a different car.

Sorry SSM crowd :( Off to XP

Would love for you to part out the cam-gears... but since the engine goes as a package, I'll just vouch for you. Shawn is a stand-up guy and dedicated enthusiast.

He's the guy who figured out why my '93 wouldn't go through a Chicago Box no matter how slow I drove it... eBay tower braces are the DEVIL!

Sam,
Thanks for the kind words.

I thought about pulling the cam gears and selling them separately, but that is a lot of work. I have enough wrenching scheduled for the near future, I don't need any more.
