the bracket is actually attached to one of the brackets on the transmission tunnel... you have to feel for it... and use long as extensions and an impact to make it easy...

as for driving feel... go beat the **** out of your car on the track and you will not have any fatigue fromt the 30 year old rubber line swelling... there is a reason why most high powered miata's with heavy *** clutches change to stainless lines... it's not for the glam of it... lol... also... you now don't have to worry about a 15 year old clutch line failing on you in the middle of the track, freeway, on a date with the hot girl or whatevs...

The Clutch Line replaces the rubber flex hose and the Steel "Curly Q" Line. It eliminates the need for the factory mounting brackets, that interfere with transmission and starter removal.

That is basically all it does...oh and a little cosmetic dress up. Clutch line is not a high pressure line.

I expected the clutch to disengage and break my foot off from the force created in the new line. Now I'm debating installing the brake lines.

Has anyone done the brake lines yet? I'm getting a leak from the horizontal hard line at the distro block for the rear lines. At this point it's over-tightened.

Any suggestions?

as in over-tightened, did you strip it? can you back it out, and use teflon tape, or the teflon glue?

Not stripped, it was tightened normally but was leaking so I tightened it some more. I've already removed the fitting and re-tightened twice.

In any case, I have a car that's unfit to drive. I need a replacement distribution block ASAP.

If you expected to feel a difference with the new clutch line and now are having problems out of the brake lines you should have left the installation to a professional like you said you were going to in the first place...

they definitely are the right pitch thread on the dist. block... we checked all of that... seriously...

also when installing the distribution block, don't bolt the block to the subframe first, attach the hard lines to the block then bolt the block to the subframe...

as for a replacement distribution block... crxican pm me....

(and i hope you all realized that i was kidding about using teflon tape and or teflon tube... lol...)

hey superslow... everything was made properly... here are a couple of pictures of the distribution block with the hard line attached... literally i just went outside and took these in my garage... and it easily threaded in by hand.... and yes i do have a hard line sitting around... and also, this is the dist block from alta racer's set, which means it is out of the same batch as everyone elses dist block...

the parts are proper, but proper installation is key...

again please be sure to attache the hard lines to the block, then bolt the block to the subframe...

AGAIN THIS IS THE REASON WHY WE RECOMMENDED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLTION IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE OR IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING...
