Yeah, I know he's not making a profit, like I said I'm not being a dick, I was just really hoping it would be cheaper. It is a fantastic design though. Maybe if you guys can get a good little group buy going we could eventually get a small production run going and kick Begi's butt, MiataTurbo style

Yea, but he's also making 5. If he was making 500, the cost would be much lower than $90.

I priced building Begi's spacer at my local CNC shop. It was $120, after programming and process planning. If I could have made twenty, it would have went down to $60 or less.

I'm sorry to be sort of out of the topic. But I was thinking of using the kia thermostat housing someone mentioned before and taping it to install the heater outlet and the stock coolant sensor. And installing the thermostat in the actual house using "Meziere Inline Thermostat Housings". Is that possible? I know it is very thigh back there and I don't want to remove the engine or the engine head.

The Kia housing doesn't have enough wall thickness to tap it for the heater and sensor ports. You want something like this:

Mazda Miata Coolant Reroute Housing

There's probably 6 years worth of discussion on the topic of doing coolant reroutes on a Miata. Stop being lazy, search and go read it.

By the way. I've been reading. But it's imposible to read (as you said)

While having a life and working in a Doctorate Degree if I plan on doing this before I get bored of the car and sell it.

This was my first post thanks for being this "Nice".

Pricing for the Thermostat Cover came in at $98 each. So, for a complete kit the total with shipping and PayPal fees is $391. The partial kit for bcrx7 is $239.

I have a meeting with the machinist tomorrow to go over the designs and make sure there are no concerns from his end.

Would then spacer clear the egr line? I know you can bend the pipe but if it clears it would be nice not to temper the emissions hardline.

Totally understand. This message was more oriented toward those who want to start a mini group buy.

I think you misunderstand me, silvermazda. I am not looking to do a group buy, just pointing out that BEGI is hosing everyone on that part by pricing it just below the cost to build a single unit for yourself.

Skou, if silvermazda is interested in buying your thermo housing and spacer, I'll take the water pump inlet from the last kit, so you could have it fully sold.
