can the ps system be used on a non ps car and be converted without any aditional parts?

To answer your question, you'll need a powered rack as well. The non-powered racks have no provision for the hydraulics...but I'm pretty sure you can trade it to someone with a powered rack if you're switching to PS. Heck, I'll send you mine...
