FS: 2001 6 speed transmission 15 miles (yes 15m)
had this in my super 7. had to have this stripped down after the counter lever for 5 and reverse plug was pulled. its as close to new as possible. no other way to describe it.
asking $1000
comes with:
trans
shifter
i have 2 oem clutches/pressure plates that are damn near new (one measures 7.2mm the other 8.1 with a digital caliper)
i also have have a flywheel to match them (with new bearing)
i will include the clutch a oem clutch and flywheel if the trans is sold for asking price
i can make it ready for SAFE shipping anywhere, and even help you find a good price... as long as you pay freight. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee. i may also be listing this on other websites so please message me asap if your interested.
if you have any specific questions please ask.

15 miles since new or 15 miles since rebuild? Who did the rebuild? What was replaced?

the trans had roughly 20,000 miles when the mistake happened. it was opened and the counter lever replaced along with the seals bearings and selectors. gears were undamaged. work was done at schimmel performance.

my mistake it has been a long time since i made this thread. my understanding is these were the same in that year range. and yes, i dont really know what i have as i am not a mazda guy. i know one of the motors i had was a 2001 and the other a 2002. both bolted up to this perfectly. also to be clear,i never said it was a msm trans.

first off i did not call it new. i said it was as close to new as possible and it was 15 miles since the rebuild. i came to that statement when i searched and found no other transmissions for sale with such low miles in that price range at the time i stated this thread. no the syncros were not replaced, why? because they were undamaged. you wear through your selectors, then syncros, then gears. i replaced the selectors and bearings even through both were undamaged and showed little wear because i had planned on running the trans hard and wanted to be safe. i dont like to pay for extra work/parts that not needed.
so to be clear for everyone.
yes, this trans has gears case, gears, syncros, and other parts that are roughly 20,000 miles old (but showed NO wear when the trans was stripped). for peace of mind i replaced bearings, seals and selectors to give myself an extra peace of mind (but the selectors had minimal wear). there were no other parts that needed replacing as they had the same or similar wear as those fresh of the line.
o and in reference to your statement of refurbished. no company that refurbishes products replaces all parts including those undamaged/unworn. thats ridiculous and and poor business practice. the cost of individual at that point would exceed a new unit from the oem supplier. this is why rebuilt/refurbished units are generally priced better.
