hey whats up guys. i got myself a set of toyota coil packs i was planning to use for my COP setup. but i dont know if i am going through with it at the moment.

dont know too much about them except they are off an 05 celica GT-S, they work and it comes with the clips and the pigtail to be wired in. i have have not touched them so they need to be wired in accordingly.

lookin' to get $100 for them.

FYI from what I know gt-s coils won't fit in a miata as they are to long. You need gt ones. At least the gt-s coils I have are to long. Whats the part number on them?

from what i realized was the bracket that needs to be made taller to accept the difference no? i dont know too much about this to be honest. i just know the specs i posted.

where can i find the part numbers on the unit?

Looks like that part number is 90919-02238...which is off only one digit from one of the known good COPS. Looks like it has all the same pins, but don't quote me on that.

My 90080-19015 were actually a little short and I had to remove the rubber ring that mates them to the valve cover. These may cure that problem, and even if longer, would be use-able by shimming or using a nut on either side of the bolthole depending on how you secure them.


Jeepster, a useful measurement may be the length from the end of the cop to the plate that rubber ring rests against(remove rubber). I can measure one of mine tonight to compare for folks.

So, apparently it isn't going to seal against the top of the valve cover, but be floating in the bore. I think I'll pass for something that fits a little better. I plan on venting the hood (coldside SC), so water intrusion may be an issue.

It might though with a bottom mounting plate.
I think the ones I just got are the taller model also. They have two little rings on them that keep them snug in the spark plug bore and they sit a few mm above the VC. With a baseplate on the VC and the Cops coming down on top of them, I believe they will seal.

hell, if i dont get much interest in them i might still try it out myself...i figured i would use a base plate to cover the spark plug valley and make it so they are bolted down to that...they do sit taller than the valve cover...but with some shimming of the rubber they will go be lowered a good amount.

I'm still fabricating my setup, and can handle the shimming.

I also have some pointy sticks I can measure with.

EDIT: Mine are 4.332" from rubber tip to plastic washer face.
