Default FS: SuperTech Pistons 9.5:1 $275

Hi,
Up for sale is this set of SuperTech Pistons. They are 9.5:1, are for 1.8 motor, 84mm bore. They came in an engine block that I bought. They are new, installed, never run. I've gone in a different direction with the build so these are up for sale. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
-Jeff

Sorry, there some scratches.

Yes, I copied this off Supertech's website:

Supertech Pistons are manufactured from extruded high silicone, enhanced 4032 alloy (with additional Cu, Ni & Mg) that had low thermal expansion, excellent wear resistance and higher thermal conductivity. Supertech Pistons, with this alloy, have withstood up to 42psi of boost, with alcohol, without any problems. A two or three step forging process yields a fine structural grain which are then submitted to several machining steps in state of the art CNC machines. Several heat treatments provide the piston with high tensile strength and evenly distributed hardness. Contact reduction grooves are standard, and pin bores are honed and reamed for precise fit. Wrist pins are constructed of cold extruded chrome moly steel for high strength and used with wire clip locks. Finally, the pistons receive a ‘phosphate dry lubricant’ coating to protect the rings against ‘micro-welding’ and enhance lubrication on the skirt/cylinder area.

Well I'm assuming that they are out of a 1.8 liter engine. Because of the year of car that you own. Pleas specify.

Default 99 Miata pistons 84MM bore

Good Day.

Saw your post about the forged pistons and I might be interested in them if they are still available. I need 9.5 to 1 pistons for my 99 10AE engine. I believe that the OEM bore size was 83mm. That would make these 1.0mm
oversized which is what I need. The engine sat for about three months after
the head gasket blew, which was just long enough for rust to attack the cylinder walls (and brother, did it attack). 1mm oversize on the block re-bore
should clean it all up.

I have built numerous engines in the past, but this is my first Miata build. I am staying pretty much stock with everything except the re-bore and the headers that I am adding to replace the California-Commie-Cat-Converter. The car now lives in Tennessee, but if kept well tuned, will still pass emissions without that additional hunk of cast iron and palladium bolted to the exhaust side.

I used to race the old Datsun Roadsters (1600 & 2000) SCCA, and if I learned one thing about building engines, it is that I WILL NEVER KNOW IT ALL! Therefore, any suggestions or advisory comments from anyone who reads this post will be welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks, and I await your reply.
