all good dude. I love this thing, I'm going to test it against what I was using previously which was a qstarz 5hz unit... but i'm already liking this thing more.

Seriously doubt there is an actual orientation. If we were streaming satellite data maybe, but its just pinging off them.

Another quick thing for you guys who have them.

If it isn't getting a fix, try setting it outside and giving it a longggg time to get a fix. I had one time where I waited 30 minutes for it to get a fix, but then every time after that it would get one in 30 seconds. something about gps cold/hot starts.

The backup battery was probably dead. Cold starts on these small GPS' can take FOR EVAR if the battery dies. It's not a big deal because it will eventually recharge, but that first cold boot can really suck. We use these same GPS units on quadcopter/drone stuff and its a pretty well known issue. If you toss it in a box for a month there is a very good chance of this happening, just make sure to plug it in when you get to the track while you are changing tires and going to the drivers meeting and such. It'll eventually sync up no problem.

Yes, it happens after sitting for a while. It legitimately took 30 minutes one time.

No more orange, but I found some blue and some reddish pink (color blind, IDK).

This was one that was too close to the edge of the scrap material.

Used mine with the app TrackAddict this weekend, worked perfectly. I also found out that TrackAddict will auto power up and record from your GoPro if setup to do it... all for free... i'm in love.

Everytime I see a "Reply to Thread" notification come through my email for this thread I'm holding my breath hoping for an update from Aidandj saying that he's ready to ship this batch out. I should have jumped on the last GB...

Forgot to update this thread. I went in ready to do some yelling. They told me, oh no it got forwarded today. I go home and its at my doorstep. Damnit.

One of these weekends I'm going to sit down and bust it all out. Will keep you all updated.
