No, these are supposed to handle 300HP+ They came out of a 323 GTX (1st gen B6T engine)

lol i ran 20psi on these rods with no problem and made 250whp uncorrected

They look straight up identical to the rods i have sitting in a box right here next to me.

That tells us nothing because there are people running 250+ hp on the stock rods. If you are confident then you should be able to make more then that.

quite curious what they actually are supposed to be good up to...
someone just got a great deal if those are good for 300.

the 250whp was uncorrected so if you do the correction its 300whp. soo if you want to look at it this way there good for 300whp

The rods used in the 88-89 323GTX turbo are beefier. They have a thicker beam, thicker small end and larger size bolts. They weight approx 580 grams (w/bolts and nuts) vs the approx 540 grams of the Miata rod. The GTX rods are no longer available new from Mazda and the Miata pieces supercede it.

I have some crazy hybrid 323 SOHC engine with DOHC capri n/a parts, I wonder if it has GTX rods...

Nope only 323 GTX (B6T engine) I took apart a Capri XR2 and it came with BP/B6 rods, so only the GTX

Can you take some measurements at the base of the rod for me? Im curious if i ever had gtx rods or just stock ones.
