LS D585 Ignition Coil Bracket Kit

I've been asked at length to come up with bracketry for the LS D585 coils. After a few prototypes and much consideration, I've come up with a good solution that should work for all 1.8L Miatas.

This kit will be comprised of:

(1) Driver Side Bracket
(1) Passenger Side Bracket
(4) BHCS w/ Nuts and Spacers

Note: Factory valve cover screws are used to fasten the brackets to the valve cover

Special Pre-Order Pricing is set to $65 including shipping until June 5th. Special pricing will only be available if we can gather a minimum of 5 kits on pre-order. The kits will be available for shipment in 2-3 weeks time.

If you would like to bundle in a set of tested D585 coils with your order, I'm happy to do so. Please note I only have a limited quantity of coils available at this time, so it will be a first come first serve situation.

Please comment with your interest, and I will get an invoice sent to you.

Someone needs to make a plug and play loom and post the Magnecor boot part #'s and wire lengths for the highly unmotivated crowd like me.

I haven't gotten that far yet, but if someone has the info I'm good with it being posted in here.

Just to confirm, were you in for the bracket only or did you also want a set of coils?

Yes, brackets only for Julio please!!! Got a couple sets of the coils a while back that are lounging in the basement with the rest of my build parts.....

Will they come black, if so how are they "blacked" ?

In Soviet's build thread he has the info on what boots and everything you need to make your own lines.

Excellent, I'll add you to the list.

The prototype was painted black, as I made it from scraps of mild steel. The production units will come bare stainless, which gives you the ability to run it as-is or coat it to your liking.

Does the bracket/coil rest on the cam cover? or is it just cantilevered off the cam cover bolts?

The bracket is cantilevered from the valve cover bolts. It does not rest of the top the surface of the cover.

please add me to the list, how do you deal with the camshaft position sensor in the VVT valve cover?? I don't see it
