if it's not a 60mm compressor wheel, it's not a T3.

70mm suggests a 3071 sized turbo.

the TRUBO you're using was the only real T3 sized turbo I was finding on ebay, but that was like 5 years ago.

T3 parts are easy to come by, find out what's wrong first.

Braineack and I are currently looking for some alternatives t3 turbos to test out. It is very possible that I order 3 new turbos this afternoon.

Not sure your distributor...

This should be a direct replacement; GODSPEED PROJECT TURBO CHARGER T3 W/ ACTUATOR .48AR 8PSI 350+HP - Newegg.com

Seems like you're jumping the gun a bit though until you know the real problem.

I have been searching all morning the turbo in the kit seems to still be the only true one. I have found some in similar styles but slightly larger. For instance EMUSA has a similar unit but slightly larger

The turbo I posted up is the same one that dvcn ran in his thread here https://www.miataturbo.net/diy-turbo...results-11402/

and pretty much the number one manufactured turbo on eBay ATM.

The reason I do like this one is you can clearly see it was balanced. Im just not sure how much different the power onset will be.

Never though of looking at newegg for turbos. Here is the one I have been going with for the group buy. Ultimately this is part of the "beta" status. If I can find a better one that drops right in and works I have no problem switching. While it won't benefit the first 8 people who purchased the turbos, it will benefit the future guys.

Nor usually would I. A bit higher trim but this should also fit without any mod and from the looks comes with a dual port actuator from Amazon;

Right now this one is the one that is closest to what Braineack used to run. This is a cxracing one that Braineack would recommend after the speedy racer one. I think I am going to purchase the speedy racer one and give it a try.

Im still getting use to this turbo sizing **** so forgive my newbness. But I should not have issues swapping my turbine housing thats already ported with the slightly larger speedy racer/emusa unit cause it uses the same turbine housing(48AR) correct?

Slightly larger MUCHO cheaper. If I get one and it works out maybe you can contact them directly and see about MAP pricing or something maybe get them an additional 30% off

Theoretically it should be swappable, in practice with Churbo's I am not positive. I have ordered the speedy racer turbo that I linked to earlier. I should have it mid next week.

yes, you can swap the turbine housing assuming the same turbine wheel.

a T3 wheel is 60mm.

10mm larger diameter exducer = at least 1000RPM slower spool.
