Default BEGi Intake Manifold (NB)

BEGi intake manifold. This came off of my '99 motor, so I'm guessing it is NB only. The current version BEGi sells for $639.

This version is no longer available new from BEGi, and these very, very rarely come up for sale used.

$450 $425 (3/18 price drop)

It is only for 99+ 1.8 heads. It will not fit on the 94-97 head. I have one of these and I love it. GLWS.

One reason that I love this manifold is because it is not a royal pita to install and remove injectors like the stock NB manifolds. You can also pull it off in less then 10min with a little practice.

Your car needs to be running 270 whp or greater than 14 psi in order to see any benefit from this manifold. Otherwise, lower horsepower cars will loose power.

from OP link BUT for the newer model, not sure about this one yet....

Before and after dynos for a 1.8. He added this manifold, a big throttle body and retuned. IIRC it was an NB head on an NA bottom end.

Very, very interested. I'll be pushing 16psi and 300 (or more with this). I only a few questions if anyone knows the answers;

What is the suggested TB to use (I know it's a 70mm, not sure which one though), is there a specific TB that's suggested?
Am I still able to use my IAC with this? Or has anyone seen one made to work with an IAC?

See Lars' build thread (shiuend). It will answer every single question.

Cars with 99-05 heads. It won't fit a NA head.

I am using a 70mm mustang TB on my car. It is was Begi sold with the IM. I currently am using a remote idle valve. It is a stock 97 idle valve that TurboTim fabbed up to work. I know if you are running an MS3 you can use a remote VW idle valve.

When I was running my car with DW1000's I did not use an idle valve and was able to somewhat idle with just the adjustment screw on the TB out a little bit. One of these days I may go back to trying to run without an idle valve as routing vacuum lines can be a PITA.
