Default PnP 7" In-dash Tablet setup $275 + actual shipping

First of all, this is an awesome system and I love it. Reasons I'm selling:

1) I really need the money
2) Because Racecar
3) Full disclosure: the charging cannot keep up with super heavy battery usage (stream music, screen on, and GPS navigation for example) and you get about 5 hours of "heavy" use before you need to switch stuff off and let it recharge a bit. It may just be an issue with my wiring..not sure For just audio streaming, it works great.

In essence, what you're purchasing is a PnP, drop-in dash install for a Miata. This is 100% workable in any other car, the nexus 7 fits PERFECTLY in a double-din slot.

If you're installing it in a Miata, this will be 100% pnp. I have already cut everything to size, I have already spliced all the wires, I have already flashed USB ROM to the tablet, I have already paired the amp and speakers, I have already figured everything out. It just needs to be installed.

If you're buying this for an NA, everything will be perfect except the speakers are 8".

The ROM that the tablet runs is based on CM, and is called "USB ROM". Basically, it is designed to do this. It goes into "deep sleep" when you turn the car off (automatically) so the battery can last for weeks with the car parked, and it automatically wakes up when power is returned. It has extra media control buttons built into the notification bar for ease of operation. Etc. etc. if you have questions about it, google "Nexus 7 USB ROM".

I'll even swap my radio surround for yours, as mine is already trimmed and dremmeled to make room for the y cable, and so the tablet fits well.

What you'll get:

1x Nexus 7 (32gb) 2012 model Wifi Only (Amazon price $146) 1x Nexus 7 (32gb) 2012 model Wifi Only (Amazon price $146)

2X Lanzar VX830 8" 3-way speakers (Amazon price $55) 2X Lanzar VX830 8" 3-way speakers (Amazon price $55)

1x Boss R6002 1200-watt 2 channel amp (Amazon price $60 shipped) 1x Boss R6002 1200-watt 2 channel amp (Amazon price $60 shipped)

1x Boss Audio 8 Gauge Amp Install Kit (Amazon price $10) 1x Boss Audio 8 Gauge Amp Install Kit (Amazon price $10)

2x XTC 8" Foam Baffle -- vibration reduction, and water-resistance (CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, I paid $12 shipped) 2x XTC 8" Foam Baffle -- vibration reduction, and water-resistance (CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE, I paid $12 shipped)
These are cut to size, and have a hole cut in the bottom for bass response/wire access--but the hole in the bottom does not allow water in cuz.. its on the bottom.

1x Behringer UCA202 USB DAC (Amazon price $30) 1x Behringer UCA202 USB DAC (Amazon price $30)
This is needed to allow higher quality audio, and to bypass the headphone jack on the tablet--which reduced static noise.

1x D-Link (DUB-H7) powered hub (Amazon price $25) 1x D-Link (DUB-H7) powered hub (Amazon price $25)
this gets powered by the car, and then in turn it powers everything else. Allows for charging of cell phones/ipods etc on the go. Also allows you to play audio/video off of USB drives etc. from the tablet.

Other goodies: USB OTG cable with Y cable for external power, 12v step down to 5v3A (powers the usb hub) crystal clear shield hard case for nexus 7 (provides protection, but mostly just to have the tablet fit snugly into dash) total price for all of these roughly $20 shipped from Amazon.

Possibly willing to part out based on interest.

How usable is the screen with the top down in daylight? I can barely read my LED screened radio in daylight.

It's not that bad for navigation and such.

I won't lie, it's a bit of a pain in direct sunlight, I've read that anti-glare protectors help, but I've never felt the need. I have brightness set to max always.

I did add a strip of black pinstripe that I wrote on with gold paint pen so that I can quickly find change track, vol up/dn etc even with the screen dimmed.

Two questions:
1) This is currently capable of connecting to my MS2 via bluetooth (assuming my MS2 has the bluetooth dongle on it), correct?
2) Is there anyway for this to play the radio or is it only capable of playing music that is stored on it or streamed from my phone.

Yes to the megasquirt, and yes to the radio.

I have a USB antenna I will include free. It could use a bigger antenna on it to get all the stations, but as is it works well enough.

Could I wire it to my main antenna? I would also like a shipping quote to 33770.

Video is uploading now.

You CAN wire it into your main antenna. It's a USB DVB-T, so I think you just need an adapter like this one: TV Female to MCX Male Jack RF Coaxial Antenna Cable Adapter DVB T DVBT 20cm DG | eBay . Do a bit of research to find the right one, but it's something like that.

I'm not 100% sure on shipping because it's all still in my car, and I probably won't pull it until I have a buyer, but I'll do either $275 + actual shipping OR $295 shipped, whichever is LESS. So I won't charge more than $20 for shipping for everything.

Fair enough?

Had to make another post in this thread because mlev is a boss. He pm'ed me detailed install instructions with picture references and made sure to include every little piece of extra hardware he could to make the install as easy as possible. Much appreciated as I hate wiring and like pictures.

EDIT: ALLTHEPROPS
