I am putting my NB1/2 engine up for sale! It isn't legal to have in my car for my solo class and my original engine just turned over 200k miles. I'm open to trading for a low mileage (~100k) strong NA 1.8. Otherwise I want the cash to peice together one of my other bare blocks.

99-00 head
- ~45 miles since head has been worked on, 42k original miles
-New valve stem seals
-New valve seats
-Polished bowls
-Slight port job
-3-angle valve job
-Machine-shop shaved it, forgot the numbers.... need to dig up the receipt.
-NGK iridium spark-plugs
-Magnecore spark-plug wires

01 short-block
-121k miles out of a 01 SE, synthetic oil always used
-ARP head-studs
-Felpro HG(45 miles)
-<10% leak-down test(HF special )
-Compression checked out great, need to dig up the numbers. They are within 3psi of each other and it was a healthy 190+ psi.
-new gates timing belt
-new front main and rear main seals.

-EGR tube







$750 or best offer, willing to ship at buyer's expense. Also willing to trade for a strong, ~100k mile NA 1.8 engine. I've got near $350 in recent machining work with the head alone, added with value of the head and strong 01 block, I think this is a great deal for someone.

Getting shipping quotes from $200-$350 on a pallet, engine completely assembled. Wondering if seperating the head and block might lower the costs, lol.

I would much rather prefer a local sell, though. I want this thing gone by the end of September!

I've got some local interest in it, nothing confirmed though. Ideally, I would trade this engine for a low mileage NA 1.8 with some cash on top from the "buyer", depending on mileage. Money talks, as always. I think I would have a hard time finding a NA 1.8 locally if I were to get straight cash though, so I'm pretty firm on my asking price.

Yeah, shipping is just about out of the question. I've heard some people use a GreyHound bus, but it would be up to the buyer if they were ok with that.
