Default RX7 clutch diff on ebay

I was browsing around ebay and saw this differential for sale. It has a starting bid of $100 and ends 11/15/07. I figured there would be at least 1 person interested from mturbo.net.

Note: If this type of "heads up" posting is not allowed, please let me know and delete this thread.

Why would you bid if you already have a torsen?

I was debating this diff. VS sourcing out a junkyard torsen or NA RX7 lsd.

So many people are going to see this diff now, it will be the most expensive one ever.

It's not tough to source them for around $100-200. No need to go ga-ga.

How much do you think it would cost to have a shop redo the backlash and other tollerances with a new gearset and diffrential in a miata carrier?
$150 for a clutch diff, $150 for 3.9s... no idea how much for the shop work.

Yeah it probably will sell for a bit more than if I wouldn't have posted the link.

Hopefully people read this and don't overspend like often happens on ebay. People get in the mindset that just because it is on ebay, it must be a good deal. The same thing happens at Costco where people assume the prices can't be beat.

I know. Certain miata parts are cheaper new at the dealer than used on ebay. Like hardtop side strikers.

Got that right. Only thing i really buy there is microfiber towels anymore. Or huge tubs of peanutbutter so I can write "Eat Up Fatty" on the lid and give it to my roommate for xmas.
He eats all my peanutbutter with a spoon. Bastard.

Cupholders are only like $13 from Rosenthal Mazda and I've seen them sell for upwards of $20 quite a few times on ebay. Somebody offered me $25 for mine when I first got my Miata. Sold it and was able to buy a new one a few months later when I found them cheap at Rosenthal.

Wouldn't come with the ring gear, i'd use it on the rx-7 diff.

I doubt I'll bother though, too lazy to swap out a diff I haven't even put to the test yet.

I did email the seller though asking about who did the rebuild and the parts used, I'll post up the info he/she provides.

Received back a response from the seller.

"It was rebuilt by B&B Racing out of Sacramento,Bill Culter. It was for a '90 ITS RX7 I used to have,I never used it (the LSD)...all new friction discs and thrust washers, he does excellent work BTW.....
