Reading about the JDM motors, no one seems to think there's a difference in them. Buying one is along the lines of you pay for what you get, and it could be good or junk. Have any details on the history of this one? Sounds like you had it in the car but are parting out now.

Correct, there is no real difference between a JDM and US motor, the motor seems to be in great shape, the visual inspection of it looks really good, cold/dry compression test gave 180-188 between the cylinders
