I don't get people that bid with 8 days left in an auction. Has anyone ever won an auction that way? Can't be many desirable items that go cheap to an early bidder.

Actually, I bided on my nitrous bottle like 5 minutes after it was listed. I placed the minimum bid. I think it ended exactly 1 week later, around 3 o clock, during the super bowl. Nobody was online so nobody outbidded me.
