Default Why I like Flyin Miata products and Bell Engineering.

eBay Motors: Flyin Miata spring - Great condition - fits 1990 - 1997 (item 290278609537 end time Dec-04-08 11:51:54 PST)

Absolutely incredible resale value on these springs. Heck, I sold a set of FM Sways with 10,000 miles on them for 180 shipped.

Everything that I bought new and resold that was Flyin Miata or Bell Engineering has, on average, sold around 80-90 percent of its original value...

Don't want to burst your bubble, but the type of items influnced the resale value greater than the brand. Sway bars and springs can always be resold for high values because other than actual breaking, they cannot go bad. They function the same used or new... most people just price springs/sways lower because they relate it to all their other used products that have much lower %s @ resale.

But yes I do 100% agree that Bell and Fm are awesome.

Good name products will always hold value better than cheap or off brand. Reputation, popularity and desirability of a brand helps too. 99NB is right though that some items are better due to wear - or lack of it.

Of course ebay can be nuts too. I've seen plenty of used parts sell for as much or more than brand new. Plenty of dumb people out there who don't know what things are worth.

I can't speak for Begi, but with Flyin Miata the ongoing support is phenomenal. I'm installing a used FMII kit right now and have had to place a few calls to FM for tech support. They are always extremely helpful and don't treat me like a second class citizen because I bought my kit second hand. Because of that, I always order parts from them whenever needed (even if they cost a few bucks more than the other guy).

yeah, I killed a hooker a few days ago in a drug deal gone wrong. Well, I called BEGi and they let me dump the body at their shop. Lets see FM beat that.

So hustler, you called BEGI for tech support on Grand Theft Auto? Did they tell you to reburn the firmware on your PS2?

I bought a Bell Engineering Series 3 Turbo Kit with a GT2860RS in April ,08 I would like to say I paided around 3090 new before they increased their price.

8000 miles later, Sold it for 2650 plus shipping, maintained 86 percent of its resale value.

Remember, if you kill her afterwards, you can get your money back. But if you kill her first, then you don't even have to pay her at all, and it's still warm.

I am all of a sudden reminded of the bit in "Go" when Scott Wolf and Jay Mohr are trying to figure out how to stuff a body into the trunk of a Miata...
