Default MSPNP TO OBDII port?

I have a 91 NA6 with a MSPNP. I want to get new gauges and I want to run a tablet instead of traditional gauges.

My question, does the CAN system of the MSPNP speak the same language as traditional obdII via can H/L? If so I could run a tablet if not does anyone know a firmware interface to make this happen?

You can either use the above linked data module, which any OBD2 device or app on a tablet/phone will work.

Or you can buy a bluetooth module here:

Cables and Adapters | tunerstudio.com

and use any BT Megasquirt app to view a TS style dashboard. Personally I prefer the bluetooth. You're not "fooling" a device/app into thinking it's looking at a real OBDII port, so you can look at non-OBD2 parameters like your wideband, ebc duty, and idle PWM%. It's also ~$95 cheaper (minus the cost of whatever app you buy).

I will say I've used both Rev's data module with an MS3 and scangaugeII, and a bluetooth/tablet setup on a MSPNPpro, and I've had zero issues with the scangauge, connecting and displaying data quickly, every time. The BT requires a boot up of the tablet if it's turned off, opening the app occasionally gives me an error, requiring to close it and reopen, and connection takes longer than the scangauge. I also bought a "always on" app to keep the tablet from shutting off. But again, customizable gauges and more infos.
