Default intake temperature

Im running 9093mspnp and when i have my laptop hooked up my intake temperature reads 43 degrees. It obviously isnt gonna be 43 degrees when its 80 outside. I can also unplug the sensor and it will stay the same. I have the wires hooked up in correct spot off of the maf plug. Im lost on what to do. Its a brand new sensor

Your wiring harness could be messed up. Mine was ( dunno how ) and i had to run wires to the adaptor harness that was made for me and splice it in there .

Also could be a bad sensor even though it's new; I've encountered a couple brand new GM open element temp sensors that were bad.
