OG racing is offering a new product for those with racing seats, or formula cars. IT's Called BSCI foam seat insert KIt
What is is?: Basiclly it's the same stuff they use to make SFI roll bar padding.
It's a fire retardant kit that makes your seat fit to your body.
Where does it go?
Small kit will go under your butt to the middle of your back,
Medium kit will go from under your legs up near your shoulder blades,
Large kit will be used for making up room in a seat. small driver large seat.
XL kit will be used for formula cars and basically creating a seat.

Why would I need this?
- Sit lower, we gained 2" of head room over the thinnest Sparco Seat insert.
- Its safer, Containment is key in a crash. This product has bee involved in multiple accidents over 100G. All drivers have walked out.
- Sore Butt? this will make your race seat drastically more comfortable. highly recommended for flat bottom seat like kirkey, ultrashild, and corbau.
What size kit for a Kirkey Economy Full containment? Sounds like a medium or large kit? Especially if I want some fill in around the ribs. Also, how substantially better is this than the creoform kits on the market? I like the Carbon-X, but it's in the neighborhood of 30-50% pricier.

If you fit well into the kirkey seat (little to no gap around your thighs) then a large would be recommend. it would fill up to your shoulders. this is recommended for a kirkey full containment seat. it will replace the seat cover.
you'll need an xl kit if the seat is too large, or your sharing a car with someone smaller then you. if your needed to take up space get an XL.
Medium kits are for seats that you only need foam up to the middle of your back. like in the first video.
the diffrence between the Foam and bead seats. they come out to be about the same price. the beads seats cost a little less but don't come as a "kit". so you'll need to buy mixers and a electric knife. the bsci is a "kit" it will come with everything you need for the install. add the cost of tools up , they come out equal. The Foam seats won't degrade like a bead seat will. they have a longer operating life. Beads seats need to be replaced after an incident, Foam seats bounce back and keep their shape. Foam is easier to make vs the bead seat. Bead seats need to cure over night, foam takes 20min. the bread seats are good for taking up very large areas. that's kinda how they compare.

Just noticed this. Will need to get one of these at some point. I use a Cobra bottom cushion in my Sparco Circuit to make it liveable on long drives, but it is 3-4" thick, so I pull that out for the track and just sit on the fiberglass - good for max low, no good for comfort.
The seat is a perfect fit in terms of hip width and from about the kidneys up. I've always wanted a nice slim cushion for the bottom and a little more lower back support. To be able to have it custom tailored to my own body would be even sweeter.
like i mentioned before i gained 2" of headroom. mich nicer piece of mind in a roll over. and it's fit to me.

We do offer a pouring service for $300.
We headed over to david's house to make him a seat insert for 4 cars. He really loves the OMP RSPT seats. He has them in 3 cars. We made him an insert that can go into all of the cars.
FYI for the omp we are using a medium sized kit.
You can see here, that he sits offset in most of his cars. We made the insert to accommodate.
the 4th car we did was this brand new MONO.
David had a few complaints about the stock seat. it had some small pressure points. the Largest complaint was that the seat went too far back, and his helmet hit the air box. This crammed david's head into his neck, creating a very uncomfortable situation.
To solve this neck issue mentioned before, we added 1" of hard foam behind the drivers shoulders. This made David sit a little more upright and gave the needed clearance.
Here is david all finished up. Taking the car around CMP, all pressure points and discomfort are gone. He says before the insert he couldn't drive the car longer then 20 min. After the insert, he drove it for 2 hours and never got tired.

It's unnerving when he pulls back into the pits. the car has a beautiful carbon muffler, it's quiet. the air sifter sounds like a blow off valve and hammering a tin garbage can. So he sneaks past and you. a loud "BANG" scares the snot out if me when it's put into neutral. made me jump every time.

Did another seat for a spec miata team over the weekend. Seat is very off center, seat foam corrected the issue. also fixed lower back pain. will post pics.
