However much the sponsor fees are, just like all the other official vendors.

I have a 3" 1.6L cat from enthuzacar. It still has a 1.6L flanges.

I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but my personal cut is $250 a month, plus all the dead armadillos I can eat anytime I'm in central TX.

In the case of my 1.6 car, the 1.6L flanges don't support a 4" pipe.

You jest, but I hear its a real serious problem over there: they can't find good workers worth a crap.

But all the Mexicans took their jerbs so there should be plenty of good workers out of work.

I hear BEGi is helping develop the TSE turbokit.

Maybe they should think about what's causing that situation.

I'm totally not jesting. I'd take the job if the pay made sense, and i was in a position to actually turn things around. You think i want to be a cube farmer for corporate overlords the rest of my life?

This is actually the biggest issue. Finding competent welders, who are also into miata's. Texas has a pretty good economy for welders so there is a lot of competition for work.

There are 2 reasons I am not currently employed by BEGI, or any of the other miata specific shops.

1. I just bought a house so I am stuck in Charleston for the next 7-10 years until I could sell it and not loose a ton of money.
2. I can't live off their salary alone and still be able to cover student loans, and owning the toys I want.

Nope. Had a new 1.8 cat as well. Factory one was 100k and 13yrs old. Didnt want to take a risk of that old one clogging or rattling after just putting everything together.

And yes I told BEGi I replaced the cat. I'm pretty sure this is the effect. "I know the car, I just got done replacing just about everything. Sell me what I'm asking for. I'm not going to send it back because it wont fit. This car is a 90 but everything is basically a 95 now. I need the 1.8L DP." The reply? "No you have a 90 you need the 1.6 stuff". Ok thanks, I'll find some other solution.

My car, it's a 2001 with +/- 55k miles on it.

Numbers are correct, about 195 hp on ~ 6psi.

Will ultimately be boosting about 8-9 when it's finished.

Ecu reflash, mishimoto radiator, enthuza exhaust, ACT clutch.

Been a LONG time since I drove my Miata. Dropped off on black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Sold my 91 Nissan back in January to partially fund this Miata project. Really, really miss driving a manual shift car.

Been stuck with my 10 yr old Honda Pilot for the last 6 1/2 months

I know it's a Chinese journal bearing turbo, not sure of the size...

LONE STAR DYNO, dynojet 224xLC chassis dyno,

fuel is probably the same old 93 octane HEB fuel that's been in it since November 29th?

What is so special? Really, absolutely nothing. Just tried to do a better job on every part than has been done before. Can 1% each be squeezed from a dozen places? To examine our old stuff and the FM piece, one would be tempted to ask; why not try for 3%? The A/O also comes with a new attitude for simplicity and easy install. Perhaps not my best attributes in the past. I've always loved the contradiction of "simplicity."
Clearly then, the more parts left out, the better the system.

Anyhow, anyway, whatever, here's the stuff that results form the 1% effort......

New manifold, 4 into 1, turbo up, wg, down. equal access to the exhaust gas, weld els, mild or SS, casting in the works. Special awards here for not requiring the frame structure to be cut away.

Remote gate. Creep is finally on the ropes. better response, etcc....

Improved dnpipe, slightly better flow,

Longer wg vent tube. Open to atmo if you choose. The atmo vent is equivalent to about 20% more tailpipe, but w/o muffs.

Any turbo (not quite so) one might want. The protos are all wimp-*** journal bearing Shanghis.

Straight comp inlet with an air horn shape.

SLightly improved IC.

The air tubes are aluminum and hang out in the breeze. All tubes can be adjusted in length and angle for more likely fit.

Unbreakable oil/water system.

Improved heat shielding.

So far with 3 dyno runs we are running about 14% ahead of everything we've done before.

Why the name? It is somewhat the start/finish deal. Plus, I'm getting older fast and not getting my turbo motorcycle finished as quick as I'd like. Living right here in the Texas hill country, enjoying the thousands of miles of great roads has become a matter of how badly one behaves with regard to the posted social limitations. Hence the bike.
