Default What engine life expectancy with Begi S1 GT2860RS at 240 RWHP?

Hey guys. I got a 1997 Mazda Miata thats about to be turbo'ed with Bell Engineering GT2860RS S1 Turbo Kit. I opted for the larger intercooler and 2.5 inch catless exhaust (2.5 inch vs 3.0, Corky claimed that 2.5 inch with no cat will flow better than a 3.0 restricted catalytic exhaust) and I plan on pushing 240rwhp with RX-7 460cc cleaned and flow tested fuel injectors. Since my highly maintained engine was first supercharger at around 90,000 and now has 120,000 miles, how much life do you think i'll have left at 12psi of boost.

I recently did a compression test, no oil consumption and each piston was within 4-6 psi of the other.

You could kill it in 5 mins or it could last ya another 120+ miles. depends on the tune.

I ordered a BEGi s kit for my 94 with 246k miles on Feb 28th. Still no kit. Now 248k miles. It'll probably have 250k by the time I install it. I'm not worried about the motor at all.

but yeah, what engine management are you planning?

Engine life depends on tune in this scenario. I predict 3.50 miles.

Eleventybillion!

Seriously though, it depends on how well it is tuned, maintained, and how much you like to flog it.

Don't worry about it. These engines are not expensive. Or ask H.A.L.

There's a car out there that's gone over 300,000 miles on his turbo'd engine. It's well tuned, of course

240rwhp should be very reliable on your drivetrain as well unless you dog it everywhere you go
