Default New ETD Manifold in. Unrelated performance problems

The original Greddy manifold had cracks to go along with the two sheared bolts and one frozen bolt I had to cut with a hacksaw. Sorry guys, I know a couple of people were interested in it, but it's pretty much a paperweight. New ETD looks great.

Anyway, I have some performance issues unrelated to the manifold itself, but probably due to taking everything apart then putting it back to together. My car idles fine and runs smoothly out of boost and in low boost while cruising.

When I jump on the gas though, my car backfires and either stalls abruptly if I let off the gas, or sputters and lurches if I stay on the gas. My Wideband shows decent AFs while I'm trying to accelerate, around 12ish, then jumps to lean abriptly before stalling. I can restart if I give it some gas on ignition. It won't start if I don't give it gas. It will backfire a bit after starting and AF shows richish, around 13. It idles for a few seconds, then AF settles back to 16ish.

I'm wondering if I could have screwed up my Airflow Meter when I banged it around during the installation.

I had some stalling and AF problems for a bit after the installation, then things seems to really clear out nicely. My car seemed to be running great for a couple of hours until i decided to try some hard runs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's recirculated. Now that I have some daylight, i'll check all the connections again.

you don't give any details to the rest of your system, so it's tough to say why you're running out of fuel.

I would start by checking fuel pressure with a gauge.

oh damnit i didnt read good enough....i thought the A/F was showing rich while this was happening.

what injectors? what pump? what device for fuel?

10 to 1 says to fuel pump needs replacement. throw a pressure gauge on the feed line and see what the fuel pressures are doing.
