peice one together if you want to do it the way you want it... kits are full of compromises that you probably dont want.

I wouldnt bother though. The K20 is capable, but has lots of problems that people like to pretend dont exist, and theyre very expensive, and theyre very gay.

The F20C is a MUCH better engine than the K20 will ever be.

^ I can tell you don't know much about K20 motors. Anyway, has anyone ever swapped in a K20?

the ammount of work/fabrication and bullshit required to do that would be on par with an LS1 or f20c swap both of which would be easier and much better.

so no. no one was stupid enough to do that. at least not yet lol

Seriously, this is MIATATURBO.NET not HondaGay.***

If you have the money, then by all means do the swap. But a built B6, BP or LS1 is all you really need.

I do know quite a bit about K motors, and I know how theyre an overpriced GM reject.
I have several close friends with K swaps, all of whom have broken transmissions at least once, some have spun rod bearings without ever reving beyond 8k rpm, not to mention other assorted issues.

Yea, I noticed v8 swaps are very expensive. It's crazy!

Relax, go ********** or something. I was simply asking if anyone has done it, that's all.

gm reject? spun bearings?

This is all new to me and I've had one since 2002 when they came out.

Only thing I agree with you on is their transmissions:
3rd ***** the synchro almost right away even on stock cars. With boost those ******* pop like the WRX glass boxes. That 6 speed close ratio shitbox has NO IDEA what torque means

The K series engine was originally in development by GM, but they had problems with them spinning bearings and it never got off the ground, so they sold the design to honda. Thats why the K is so significantly different than honda engines from the past. Honda did some work and got it to be a pretty reliable engine but they still suffer from oiling issues at high rpm.

I see the K20 as an insult to honda, they sold out, they gave up their time tested bulletproof, simple, and reliable designs for something over engineered and complicated. Sure its capable of lots of power in the right hands, but youre average guy cant afford to dyno tune all 26 maps that make up k-pro.

The F20C is the best honda engine ever made. They made an engine that can rev high reliably by bui;lding it like a real race engine, unlike the K. Unfortunately since its difficult to put in a civic it will never get respect.
