Default valve springs ???

Ok so i have been looking for some valve springs and think i found some i can use with a seat presser of 80 lb

have some of you use ford m-6513 m50BR springs be for

Well i will be checking them out i guess they cost me 68.50 for a set of 16 .

They will be going in a 1.6 with 79mm 10.1 forge pistons on some Carillo Connecting Rods and a boundary oil pump hope to get some rpm out of it with no valve float
and deck the head .040 as well

I think you need to do some more research, there are valve springs that fit in the BP engines that are higher seat pressure and spring rate for about the same price of the ones you are looking at and have been discussed on here and other miata forums. I am personally running these. Not to spoon feed you but look up the VS855 springs

The Carillo Connecting Rods i got them cheap with pistons ;p $160.00 not my best fine but right up there

The vs588 spring i did look at them but the
Coil Bind Height (in):1.120 in << i do not like

Installed Height (in):1.570 in. << form this will not net me much at 1.535

Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs):66 lbs.

Open Height (in):1.180 in.

Open Pressure (lbs):175 lbs.

Ford Performance Parts M-6513 m50BR
  • 2012 Mustang Boss 302 engine
  • 8000 rpm
  • Use with cams up to 13mm lift
Coil Bind Height (in):0.990 in << closer to the stock springs do to the spring wire not being round and they are beehive which yes new Retainers would be need if i did not have a lathe lol and spring seat need to be cut just .010 for the ID is a bit smaller OD is the same i made the cutter not hard to do took me around 2 hr to fit all 16 springs that was with making a cutter

Installed Height (in):1.575 in. << going to 1.535 will bump up the 67 lbs a bit

Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs):67 lbs.

Open Pressure (lbs):157 lbs
