It is out now. I just have not added it to the website. We are calling it the BEGI-SSM. Sorry, I am just not that creative at coming up with names....

i guess my question is...... when it says "add sepereted gases dp, it gives you the option to choose "no" or "mild steel" for an additional $196 or "stainless" for $296. so if i were to choose stainless from the materials section i would be paying for it twice? just seems goofy i guess. maybe im not looking at it correctly. and as far as the stainless lines go, if i wanted all the lines in stainless, how would i go about selecting that. im a little confused on that part. thanks

The "material" only applies to the standard BEGI-S downpipe. Leave it alone if you are going for the SG DP. And use the Separated gases option to choose mild steel or stainless. If you get it wrong, or are confused, just write a note in the notes box and I will straighten it out. All the online orders come straight to me, so I can straighten it out. No worries.

The 1.6L SSM kit has been added already to the website. I will work on the 1.8L SSM next.

Default that's hot.

That SS tubular manifold on the 1.6 looks awesome. Nice work BEGI.... now I wish I'd waited to pull the trigger!

I have both the 2554 and the 2560. The 2554 does come in faster. And mine has a cheap homade downpipe.
Now the gt2560 has a 2 1/2 inch downpipe 3in exaust etc etc.
I like the 2560. It is fast and gives me head room. And when boost comes in, you feel it.

But I'm sure changing the exhaust of the 2554 car would change everything. And there is no waiting on boost. Once your moving. You touch it and it is there. I like it too.
Either is a great option. You'll be happy either way. But if you ever might want 300hp. Go 2650. ( especially since you wanted the 2860 and build internals latter) But which ever one you buy, don't look back and think I should of could of. They are both simular and kick it hard.

I'm probably will never upgrade the tranny, Or rebrace and modify the whole car. 250hp is tops for me. I want it to stay together. And if you feel the same way, either will do that.
If you want your mind to be made up. Talk to Corkey Bell for about 5 mins. You will be confident in your descision after that conversation.

Just to let ya know though. I ran with a 99 gt mustang yesterday on 6psi. You will like boost.
Good luck!

so i talked to stephanie for a bit and we kind of came to a consensus that i dont need as much as i first thought. i was going overboard with things i did not need. im only getting the base begi-s kit with the log manifold. the only thing im upgrading is,

-im getting all the lines in stainless
-im ordering it with mspnp
-im ordering lc-1 with db blue gauge(as a side note, does anyone have experience with this gauge? is it a nice gauge?)

after the kit ill be keeping it low boost for a bit. ill be oing a DIY BOV like another memeber on here did. then i will be ordering injectors, getting those tuned in. then intercooling. after that ill be doing torsen. after that ill be raising the boost and keeping it together =)

Ha, I ran a 03 GT with flowmasters and a cold air intake last weeks from a dig to 60. Launch he got me a spec, and by 60 I had 2 cars on him. I need boost too.

so i went ahead and ordered the base begi-s kit with all stainless lines a wbo2 bung and an lc-1 with db blue gauge from their site. i also got megasquirt. gt 2554 turbo. anyone have and suggesttions as far as.......

~reliable boost gauge? i want a digital one if possible. anyone know of a gauge that matches this one nicely?

http://www.bellengineering.net/produ...roducts_id=118

~i really dont think ill be needing anything more than the wideband gauge and boost gauge. so i need a dual gauge mount. i like this one alot,

http://www.miatamania.com/Shop/ViewP...eIndexID=33823

but i am afraid it will block my view. also i have a gps that normally goes in that spot. i dont want to use my vents, and i dont want it visible when someone is driving next to me.

~ i plan on installing the megasquirt and getting that running before i go ahead and install the turbo( dont know if ill be able to but ill try )

~any other general install tips to make things go smoothly?

Stick with a name-brand trusty and reliable mechanical boost/vaccum gauge. You only need one that reads up to 15psi.
Autometer, Stewart Warner, Defi, EDO, AEM, Greddy...

i like this style alot because it looks like it is a digital arm. should i steer away from this and go with a arm type? i just like that its kind of stealthy when the car is off. might deter someone from stealing my **** if it looks like there is nothing there.

I'd be curious to see what a GT28 turbine does to your power output.

Not to derail- what are the major benefits of the SSM kit over the standard S? It appears to me off the bat you have a better flowing manifold, more favorable positioning for a straighter downpipe and compressor outlet, what else?

You're getting a dual A-pillar pod and worried about people stealing your ****? Somebody is more likely to steal your expensive (obviously digital) blacked out pillar gauge over an (obviously cheap) mechanical gauge. Nothing says "ricer" like a pillar pod.

If you wanna keep it hidden, mount them in the center console... otherwise they're a "race me" "steal me" big ******* neon sign.

I mounted mine under the radio. It looks sweet. But kinda hard to see when racing.

The pod is better for racing though. You just glance and you can see what is going on.

I had a Dakota truck with thick pillars. It was always a bad blind spot. I decided to not put them there. I'm going to give the pod to my brother.

Tough decision.

I went with the gt2860rs because I have a 1.9l 99 motor and Corky recommended it considering I'll spend track days doing WOT for 30-minute sessions, 2-hours per day.
