Almost done! I cannot WAIT to get these new parts on the car. The exhaust leak sounds worse everyday.

Now, whats to say I would be able to get away with my current tune I just had done for the FM3 setup? I really don't have money in the budget to re tune ATM. In the spring sure, but right before Christmas when money is already tight.....not so much.

Any thoughts?

Tune should be fine, just do a couple of logs and check out your afr's. You shouldn't have any issues at all

The FM3 isn't a bad setup, just a bad design really. I'm happy with the power I'm making, I'm just not happy with the leaks. So rather than buying gaskets and having the surfaces milled my answer was to upgrade.

My Greddy setup was pure diarrhea **** and the FM3 was like a **** stain. I'm thinking the ARTech setup will be nothing but **** on bull.

Lol, hey now! The FM3 is pimpness in it's own right. Escpecially mine with over 200k on it and NO leaks. I'm having my manifold ported, polished and ceremic coated soon. Hopefully that make less of a **** stain

I was out today and heard a thud from under the hood. I went home and pulled the heat shield to peek around at things and didn't see anything that looked loose, or would otherwise thud. I did however notice some oil by the shock tower area and a little on the side of the block by the oil feed. Never had issues with oil there before.....

Then I started the car up to let it idle and just wanted to see if anything seemed wrong. I pulled the air filter on the turbo and noticed it wasn't spinning freely. Should it be?

I shot a video of it.

I'm thinking after I get these parts from Abe that I'm going to park the miata this time and really force myself to buy a beater. This car is telling me it doesn't want to be driven in the snow.

Notice the side of the valve cover from the exhaust leak. That cover was brand new red about a month ago.

Pretty sure mine spins at idle, or at least with the smallest amount of throttle. How's it feel by hand? Maybe it was a piece of a piston :P I can't see the video.

P.S. Title change to "FM3 is out". Lolz, too bad you can't edit a two year old thread.

It should spin at idle. My 2554 spins for quite some time after I shut the car down. I know my td04 also spun at idle. I would take off the turbo and inspect the exhaust side, to me it sounds like your turbo might have eaten something :(

lol

Well next purchase for the miata is a car cover. Then I'll park it in the shop, pull the parts, and go from there. Right now I cant really afford to do anything about it, but I wont be driving it anymore. :(

It really sucks. I keep dumping money into this thing! By now I could have had a nice down payment set aside for a LGT!!

I'm ******* going to the Subaru dealership next week and I'm going to see if this guy that works there that I know through the grapevine can find me a used one for a good price.

FedEx dropped off a package last night! I've been rushing around for the past 24 hours so all I have for now are these couple pictures of the ARTech pieces of art.

So bad that the car has just been sitting for a couple weeks now. Its registered and insured, and seems to be running good, but the leak is unbearable. I was driving it how it is at first, but now its way worse. Plus its loud as ****, like.....its a piece of **** loud.

I hope to have the parts on by next weekend and get the car road worthy again. I'll try and hold off hitting the dyno again until the spring time.
