No, it only affects the car when in closed-loop mode (i.e. when you're in boost at part-throttle below ~4000 RPM).

And, if it is sending a signal that is too lean to the ECU and it is throwing in too much fuel, you can adjust the signal to keep the ECU anywhere up to neutral.

Just don't call him immature, you'll suffer serious wrath and ridicule if you do that!

So ya, im running The BEGi system 2 (older version) without bipes at 4psi and 8* timing and I really cant stand the way boost onset feels unless im above 4k ... So brian, with the 02 clamp, does it really smooth all this out? Right now, if i try to take a corner with light throttle and accellerating between 3-5k, i start to oversteer when I hit 4k because of it.

Oh well, all my problems will just go away when I get MS working someday, right?

hell yeah it smooths it out. it feels like it just plain doesn't want to react...then all of a sudden the boost kicks in, correct?

Or i could just get my Megasquirt v3 up and running. I already got the injectors and stuff for it anyway. If all goes well, i could be boosting 15 psi all day very soon
