Default Freshly Installed Greddy Turbo

I have just completed the Greddy install on my 92 Miata. I set the Idle at 850 rpm and adjusted the timing to 6 degrees.
Anyone running 100 octane and what is the timing for 100 octane?

This will be the first of many posts as I will be moding the car even further

There are other factors to consider just besides the octane level of the gas. Ambient temperature, quality of the gas, condition of the engine. You can probably go past 6*, but I wouldn't take it too far and I'd do it only a little bit at a time.. Make sure you listen for knock very closely.

Whatever doesn't ping, and maybe 1° for safe measure. You'll most likely be ok with 8°, but listen for ping and keep ambient temps in mind.

Default Thanks for info

Thanks for the information. I am in Vegas and it runs great now as it is on pump gas. I run it at autoz events and not much normal day to day driving. I will be installing an intercooler in the next couple of weeks.
Next question, how to mod the greddy to run more boost? and any one running a BOV and install info on that please.

Manual Boost Controller will allow you to increase the boost level on the turbo WG.

There is a writeup in Braineacks FAQ thread on how to make one at Lowes for less than $5 or so.

Default Bipes

This is the first I have heard of the BIPES ACU . Someone reccommended the LINK ECU, but its not on my budget now.
Is the BIPES the cost effective way to go, and how much can I gain from getting one?
