Default Car won't start.

Was having some issues with hesitation on my way home from work on a hot day last week. I stopped for gas and then it stalled on the way home. It started back up and I made it home with it hesitating at various times.

Stopped in the driveway with it running and it idled fine. This was last Wednesday or so.

The car would not start when I went to move it today. It cranks fine, but doesn't catch. I went to check the plugs (stock 1.6 plugs) and they were all carbon fouled. I swapped the plugs for the NGK BKR7E plugs. Still won't start.

So, fuel or spark. Not sure which one is failing me at this point, but I'm leaning towards spark, but I'm not real sure what I do to diagnose either one since I'm not much of a mechanic.

Never gave any indication that it was overheating at all. The needle stayed in the normal position the whole time.

I could not find any parts store that was open today that had new NGK wires. Advance Auto had the plugs. I did replace the wires a few years ago and they probably have only about 10k on them, but I'll try replacing them as soon as I can find some new ones.

I did the dipstick test to verify TDC because I have the short nose crank and wanted to make sure nothing was going with that. It lined up okay. The timing belt was replaced a few years ago by someone who knew about the 90 issues and it never had a worn keyway, but I'm always paranoid about that.

I did swap the injectors a few weeks ago. It was running fine after that and I even did an autocross.

Okay, my bad. The Bipes connector was a little loose. I pushed it in and the thing cranked right up no problem.

With the new plugs in it feels like it is running much better than before. No hesitation for one thing, but also it just feels smoother. It definitely was a little rough up top before with the old plugs. Now the power comes on fast and smooth. I should have swapped the plugs when I put the turbo in, but with everything else to think about it got overlooked.
