02 clamp setting and lean tip in.
Ok, tonite I promise to put out some decent pics as I now have the car after a 600km drive back home and a huge smile on my face!
Here's the whole story, and please be patient with me... I'm running 6psi, FPR, 1.8 injectors and turbo tony DP and free flow cat.
-The crossover tube blew 3 times on my way home... 35 degrees Celsius and hitting 6Psi not really play well together.
-the 02 clamp setting. i set it to .37 volts. Opened the black box, warmed up the engine, clamped the white wire inside the box with a digital voltimeter, and adjusted the screw to .37v. It was set to .47v. The white wire is the one i should be looking at right?

1-When I floor it say in 3rd or 4th gear at low rpms, i see a .5 sec delay, where it jumps to 15/16 afr, and then drops to 10,11,12 afrs. The AEM wideband really updates the values very fast, hard to keep up with it!
I cant honestly say i feel a hesitation. it progresses very nicely actually. But i do see a spike lean 15/16 for a split second there...
I'm will try to adjust it to .32 and where that takes me, but i'm assuming, it will always take a moment for the positive pressure to be detected and the clamp kick in right? it's not like, "light speed"? i dont have a digital camera to film the gauges, otherwise this would be a lot easier... :(
Another question is the AFRs under vacuum. cruising in the motorway, at say 130/140kmh my AEM Boost gauge reads from 16 to 0 inHg and I always see 14 to 15 AFRs. under vacuum, never goes richer than this. this is normal right? it will only go richer either in Boost or after 4000RPMs where it enters open loop correct?

You may see the spike as the car transitions from vacuum to boost, but the clamp should keep you from feeling anything if it comes on quickly and the rest of your system adds fuel fast enough through increased pressure or duty cycle.
The LED is always on if it is receiving power and the switch should be set sensitive enough to transition quickly without coming on if you are cruising at ~0 vacuum/boost

Thanks, that means i'm just being paranoid. I honestly dont feel nothing. the transition goes nicely, and there's no stumble or bogging. I'm assuming the switch is set to 0.5 out of the box. I never tested it...
but i need to adjust it to at least 35v. i forgot one very important thing, Atmosferic pressure:
-35c degrees in Madrid=5/6PSI at WOT.
-20c degrees in Lisbon, near the sea=7PSI at WOT. At 7PSI, it goes too lean, like 13.5.
I was out 30m ago, and during the night is even worse, 13.8
I need to lower the boost untill i get the EMU in... just gonna loose the wastegate a bit.
Cool, i'll set the clamp for a richer signal, low the boost just a bit and test again.
btw, under vacuum, from idle which is 18-22inHg to 0PSI going around 14-15's even 16 for a sec is pretty much normal right?

When the screw in the switch is level with the top of the housing it is coming on about as soon as you would want it so that if you are cruising at -0- vacuum it doesn't kick in(as FM's used to).
And watching the AFR at idle, it will swing high and low as the ECU controls by varying the injectors based on the signal it receives from the 02 sensor.

just took it out for a spin, setting it to .32 or .40 doesnt it really make much difference. there's still no noticeable bogging. I can ear the "click" on the pressure switch just as my boost displays "0". very audible if the metal plate that covers the ECU is off.
my only problem now is as I floor it, goes too lean, but if I press the pedal half way it still its 6 psi and it runs pig rich. I just need to be a bit carefull untill i get a proper fuel management... and i need a better fuel pump to go over 6psi.
