Default Takin Head off!

This Might be a dumb question...But The motor I have has no Intake mani on it, no vc on it, no exhaust, and no front accessories. would it be hard to take the head off? is it just the 8 or 10 bolts that are on top that Need to be removed?

Things that are off.....
Radiator
Fans
Turbo/Mani
Exhaust
Ps Pump/Belt
All Visible Connections

12point 12mm socket.

hold up ill post the procedure.

2-3 steps means, just loosen each slightly a little at a time before they arent holding down the head anymore.

take a pic of the piston tops, walls, head gasket, etc. and post them and we can take a look as well.

Dude, I don't even want to imagine you doing this by yourself. In three weeks we'll see, "OH MY GOD NO! car runs like crap!" and we'll find out your timing belt was off a tooth. I admire you jumping into things with both feet like you have been, but damn, get a friend who really knows what they're doing to help you out.

take some of the plastic covers off....the loosen the pulley that can slide around.

MARK THE LOCATION OF THE TB AND PULLIES...whiteout or paint or something. so when it goes back you know where to stick it.

once the tensioner is loosened you can pull the the belt. you do not need to remove the cam gears, the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc.

i must add...i take no responsiblity for anything I say :gay:

oh... yeah you have to pull the timing belt. in fact your probably SHOULD have done that before removing the head bolts. it's quite possible the head has cocked on the mounting pins so you may have to bump it with a rubber mallet or 2x4 to get it freed up.

remeber to mark the pulleys with the belt so you know where the timing is. or else you have to turn the engine by hand and align the markings on the pulley (which isn't that hard but alot easier when u just mark the belt and pulley)
