Default maybe stupid question about dp.

i am about to order a tony dp and 2.5 cat. Now i use stock greddy and a after marked exhaus which is a bit louder than stock, but still only 2 inches or maybe a bit less.. I also have a 2 inch test pipe. Will i feel any more power by adding the tony cat and dp or will it be the same because of the approx 2 inc catback?

you will probably help your spool time by a bit but I'd go ahead and upgrade the rest. exhaust is cheap.

Yes. you will definitely notice a difference. Especially because you are turbo.

I don't know of any aftermarket exaust that's less than 2". Borla NA is the smallest I know of at 2.25".

It'll be easy enough to tell. Most exahusts have the name stamped on the tips or the muffler. Take a pic for us and we'll probably be able to tell you. A test pipe will make a big difference in spool.

My setup now is stock dp, 2" test pipe, and my aftermarked exhaust mhich is aprox 50mm inner diameter. I think i want to have a cat because of smog tests.
So my question was if i will notice any power gain by adding a 2.5 dp and 2.5 cat to my setup.... Will a 2.5 test pipe give much more power than a tony cat?

you should, but it's a system, and you'll still have a big bottle neck, you'll notice a huge change later when you open up the rest of the exhaust.

I meassured my exhaust today. Approx 48-52mm inner diameter. I think it is this one. It says BBK on the muffler. I really do not know that much about this exhaust since it was fitted by the previous owner.

Here is a link to the exhaust I have got now:

You should notice a big difference by adding the tony dp and cat even if the rest of the exhaust is stock. The stock Greddy downpipe is horrible for flow.

Sweet! I am about to order a dp and cat from tony now. Are there any big difference in using a tony 2.5 cat and a 2.5 test pipe?

2.5 test pipe will flow better and get better spool but you won't be emissions legal.

AKA less restriction.

arg.... I was thinking that the tony cat was flowing so much that it would not be a noticeable difference from a 2.5 test pipe....

Well, the Tony cat will obviously flow much better than a stock cat, and a test pipe will flow even better than that.

I don't know exactly how much difference there would be between a Tony cat and a 2.5 test pipe.

buy both the high flow cat, and the test pipe, then switch them out when ever you need to be emission compliant.
