Nah this manifold is made by older chinese kids. Thats why its still cheap but very high quality. Even some of the begi and FM manifolds hit the block once in a while while the TACOTACO kit never does.

Look up member by name. Dcvn. He did a lot of custom work on ebay kit but he got some real good results. Nothing on ebay is bolt up and good to go. If you cant fabricate or weld I would just get a used kit. I got some turbo parts for sale all name brand if your interested. Good luck.

I was really surprised you didn't do a shameless plug for your mediocre parts you can't seem to unload for the last forever in post 40. You only hinted at it.

But you redeemed yourself in post 42.

Lol . Man you drank that hateraid today 18. I remeber a long time ago when you where just starting with turbo miatas . You wanted to meet my friend sleepermx5 in sac. You know the guy with 300whp 1.6 miata. Lets just say when I met him his miata was stock. So I never get mediocre parts. I been in the turbo miata game for a long time. But some people just like to talk junk for no reason. If hks garrett and artech is mediocre then yes thats me.

not to be an A hole but... I do not understand this at all. There is a sticky in this section giving you plenty of reasons to pass on this kit. two threads down from this thread there is one warning you about buying an ebay turbo kit. so you directly quote that thread in the title of this new pointless thread asking if you should get one.

Well, to answer your question, the "kit" is crap. Various people on here use the turbo aka churbo, and it does well+saves you a bit of money. Like the others have stated in many other threads, piecing one together is the best way to save money and have a reliable car. It has also been recommended to me in the past to start out with a megasquirt and get familiar with that before moving on. Simply stated if you don't have the money to put decent parts on your vehicle, you have no business modifying the vehicle. Cheers

Fast Cheap Reliable pick 2<----pick 2
Read read some more and then some more...the search button is your best friend

Check out the Begi shanghai starter kit(churbo but it seems to be somewhat reliable and comes with a decent cast manifold that is proven to work well)

eBay IC (prepare for some fab work and fitment issues)

Don't cheap out on engine management! Megasquirt is cheap and there is a ton of support for it on this forum. Start learning how to tune before the turbo install otherwise you can run into serious issues and possible destroy your motor.

Read the DIY FAQ!!! This was incredibly helpful to me and I still refer to it while I continue to sort out my build plan.

Everything I mentioned in my post was found on this site from searching, the reason these guys are messing with you is that they've dealt with this question numerous times and are tired of having to repeat themselves over and over. I'm not trying to put you down or anything like that but have you searche? Read the DIY Faq? Read threads of note in beginners luck? These will answer 95% of any questions you may have. It takes a long time but it's worth it. These guys who are screwing with you have contributed soo much USEFUL info to this forum with write ups and build threads that makes it easier for people like you and I to build a system that will function properly on a budget. They've went through the hard part of trail and error to make life easier for the rest of us, when a question that has been asked a million times is asked again they will have some fun.

Good luck with whatever route you choose to go, just take the time to research and it will save you time and money in the end.

I would be interested in links to the most terrible, eBay-tastic, ghetto rig builds.

What's the worst you've seen?

I think it will be okay if this thread veers off topic a bit. Maybe it will help.

I'm assuming you're of the age where you can read and think of your own? If so click here https://www.miataturbo.net/prefabbed-turbo-kits-3/ and start reading at other threads. If you dont have time for that you do not have time to turbo a car.

We might need a video introduction to Miataturbo.net since soooooooo many newbs do not seem to be able to read the basics. Puppets would be a bonus!
