I have always wanted better looking tail lights. I think the hour glass brake light is ugly. It should be the circle around the reverse lights. I want a set of those tail lights so I can lamin-x the clear red and have nicer lights.
Car looks good. Looks like it should make a fun DD. Steel wheels are nice, if one gets bent they are cheap to replace. People usually don't steal them either.

Yes you have many options
MS via Braineack 550$
MS Pnp 700$
Exede 800$
Used link 500-800$
EMU 500+ $
So read up on what you want they will all do it, quite well. For the 1.8's most of the 1.6 tricks work just fine. GL man, and thank you for actualy searching abit before throwing the Q's out there and assuming we would hold your hand through it.

o Base MS with Miata Mods and db37 connector ($310)
o AIT sensor with 3/8" bung ($30) (for AFM removal)
o EBC includes GM boost solenoid ($50)
o KnocksenseMS ($115)
o 4-bar Map sensor ($70)
o Fan Control ($5)
o Idle Control ($5)
o Piggback Boomslang Harness ($75)
o Standalone Harness ($45)
o Insured USPS Priority Shipping ($15)
I'll be going the piggyback route so i can eliminate the standalone harness, idle control, and fan control, correct?
What else can I eliminate from that list? What did your $550 product you quoted consist of?
Is the knocksensems worth the $115 dollars?

I briefly looked into the Braineack MS and found this price list:

OK
Like i mentioned before, sometimes I get confused with the capabilities of the 1.8 and the 1.6.
I read that 5psi on a the 1.6 with stock injectors can od 5psi and the 1.8 injectors can do a little more. Since my car is the 1.8 does that mean my injectors are capable of more?
I'm worried because occasionally my boost creeps up to 6.5 or so. I'd really like to get the car paid off (it's the only debt i have) before I start spending serious money modifying it. I really haven't spent much time in boost since I bought it. I'll do an occasional short pull through 1st and 2nd but I'm a little apprehensive about the boost creep and running without an intercooler. My timing is set at 4*.
I guess I'm asking what the biggest limiter is on my car right now. What is being maxed out at 6 to 7 psi of boost? Is there any way I can check the duty cycle on my injectors without spending a ton of money?
When I had a DSM I had a free program called MMCD that would run off of a PDA. I bought a serial cable off ebay for like $10 and was able to plug it directly to the diagnostic port. MMCD would tell me my injector duty cyle percentage, knock, rpm, O2, etc. Do they offer anything liek that for the miata for a low price or am i stuck buying a hole engine management system?

You will be stuck buying MS. You can get MS up adn runnign for about 450$ if you do it yourself and that includes the lc-1. With MS you can use your pda to tune, tehre is a big thread about it if you search.
As for your duty cycle you are maxing them out. I have a 94 with more or less the same setup as you except and intercooler and I am running MS. I am maxing out the stock injectors at about 4.5psi. With runnign the BEGI FPR you probally have some wiggle room for the 5.5 to 6psi.
