Default Begi's Service

Okay so my friend bought a begi kit from begi and after waiting like a month it finally showed up. when he open it, downpipe, oil return line, piggy back fuel management is missing. he also got a s 3 kit and the cool air box is a different color then they say it was. its black. have this happen to anyone before...how many package are they going to ship. and he got no notice of when it was ship. no tracking number. nothing and it just poped up at the door one day. he already got his car taken apart and ready to go...now he's waitng and PISSED OFF! haha..

Well i had nothing but amazing service with begi, only thing i could complain about was the dp taking 4 weeks to make, but other than that everything came in my order, came as described. However i was not given a tracking number.

yes, my box was missing a hose clamp, the radiator cover, and had the wrong size intercooler. They also forgot to order my exhaust. They did fix everything though.

Did your friend receive his parts Friday or yesterday? Perhaps Begi doesn't ship everything in the same box and you should wait until Monday for the rest to arrive. Forgetting a feed-line or something I can understand, but forgetting a DP is a little over-the-top even for them.

And yes, Begi has a minior history for inadequate shipping.

Here is my take on BEGI. This is from running a small business myself for 24 years.

It's run like a Mom and Pop shop. It's not all slick and glossy. No real sales people. Stuff can fall through the cracks, follow up can be sporadic, not everything gets done exactly on time or perfectly. Great people, great products but not the service some people expect in this day and age. It's not all automated emails, notifications and part pulling and instant shipping. They aren't stockpiling parts. They are building pretty much to demand, keeping costs down and running lean and mean.

I'm the same way with my store. Service is usually very good and personal. I sell great products at fair prices every day. I don't sell anything I don't believe in myself. I'm a small shop and way too disorganized. My accounting, ordering and follow up isn't always what it should be. I **** off some customers that way. Others appreciate the product, price and knowledge and understand I have a store that's a little behind the times.

Quality Mom and Pop shops. Good people, good products, fair price. Not terribly sophisticated in how they're run. Gotta take the good with the bad with shops like ours.

that's definitely true but when you're dropping $3-5k with someone hiccups become that much more annoying.

they always make things right. i bought an S kit from them and had a few fittings missing but they sent out after that and I wouldn't hesitate in ordering from them again.

I completely agree. There were a couple of things that went wrong with my order. However, it was not a huge deal and they were happy to make it right. I will do business with them again.

BEGI is really really good at fixing any issues you might have with missing parts, parts that don't fit right, and basically making you a happy customer. It might just take a little longer then you hoped or wanted it to.

BEGi is a basically a job shop. I ordered my S3 in January and received most of the hardware in February. March I received the all of the back-ordered stuff except the scooper and a coupler that connects the turbo inlet to the elbow that connects the stock maf sensor. After lot of calling and email the right coupler arrived in April. Yes, I was pissed! The system runs great! Quality is top notch! Still no freaking scooper!

I've been reading this great forum for the past months trying to understand what's the best turbo kit for my needs and my intended use and Begi's S kit looked like the best choice so after speaking with them directly I placed my order.

From what I understand the most hiccups happen to bigger and more complicated kits so I hope missing parts or not all parts arriving at the same box/days isn't so common in the S kit because being outside US a missing or wrong part could mean a month delay with shipping internationally and our retarded customs.

Geeze, sounds like a lot of problems. There have to be some people out there that have gotten a complete kit when they were promised! Speak up guys, I'm getting kinda scared :(

Maybe the other parts were shipped seperate. Did he call them? Something I learned from dealing with mustang turbo kit companies, don't take you car apart or plan install until you have all the parts. It took the company I ordered from over 6 months to get me my stuff and even then they screwed it up.....bad

I'm trying to figure out where your gripe is?
Looks like they sent parts as they are built, and are in-line with their promised delivery time frame. And they went ahead and powdercoated the air box to match the charge pipes, and didn't ask for additional payment?

The only thing I could see a little unhappiness is not receiving a tracking # via email, just because of the value of the package.

Otherwise, quityerbitchin.

Pretty much agree except the powder coating issue. If I didn't want black powdercoat wouldn't matter to me if it cost extra. But like you, I wouldn't start bitching until after I called and talked to them. But then again, the guy that made the order is not the one posting.

9 months!?!?! it's been that long! So what are you going to do with the DP when it gets here? Your new engine is powered by 2 triangles, not 4 pistons.
