Default GReddy needs a turbo miata for testing!~

Greddy performance in Irvine, CA needs a turbo miata for testing a new filter design and exhaust system. Car needs to be borrowed for 2 datys (a max of 3 days), and the customer would receive a free production model Racing TiC exhaust when it comes out. It would help for the motor to be stock besides the TK, but depends on the extent to the modifications.

Contact:

Greddy performance Products
949-588-8300 ask for LC.

Update 6-18-07:

Project cancelled until further notice.

Can we also contact you if we have a cracked manifold???

As i live in europe the only way to get a new mani is to ship it to the states to www.cyberauto.com, they ship it to greddy, greddy ships it back to www.cyberauto.com and they ship it to me...

Costs: 220 dollar for a new mani, 60 dollar from cyberauto to greddy and back (2x) + 80 dollar to ship mine to cyberauto and back(2x)

Just love these core charges......not

With that i must pay taxes (20%) so the mani will cost me: 220+tax=264+shipping 280= 544 dollar for a bad manifold (mine lasted 1.5 years)

Yeah no more core needed (policy recently changed). You can just buy a new manifold, $300 list price.

Possibly! Nothing new has come out for the miata since the turbo kit!! but we're planning on exhaust systems soon.

I know they had a lot of problems with these manifolds... And try to solve it nicely... Also heard (not sure if this is true) that they changed the casting materials so it won't crack....

Also know that a lot off diy guys took advantage off this and bought a manifold to start their own home made turbo...

Not a bad deal, brand name manifolds for discount prices...
But now greddy has a core charge (and that is a good thing, but not if your living out off the states.)
I am a bit dissapointed in the service and for the manifold.... It's been leaking for a year and now, recently changed for a ssautochrome (non greddy) manifold looks the same... But don't really trust it (nice figure off speach : trust/greddy).

They sell them for 150 dollar but the shipping was much higher.
Contacted them ,it is the oem greddy manifold, to be more specific, the td-04h kit , not the asian tubulair td05 that was available in japan only...
Was seen on the wide body in the 4 sale in this forum...

But ok stainless steel cast mani is strange....

Still don't understand. 300dollar is a lot of money... for 265 you have a HKS
For 389 you have a begi... Both are bullit proof and new.. The greddy is known to crack and at 300 dollar i think it is very expensive considered it is a part greddy knows it is weak...

Just my 0.02...

Are you going to upgrade the greddy downpipe to??
Make the system at least 2.5 inch...

I think Chris is the person I talked to when I went down to Irvine to pick up my CARB sticker. If so, he's a good guy and really went out of his way to make sure I got what I needed.

how about some NB stuff

Nb turbo kit?

Around same price as Greddy kit for the NA that lets us do our own I/C set up but with a 2.5 in downpipe, and more of a log style manifold. Or something with a working PnP EMU ;-)

If they make a 1.8 manifold like the BEGI ones there on to something. Begi made it so you need an adapter for na/nb very cool idea.(egr related).

But what do you suggest considering the cracked manifolds??
They used to be 150 dollar.
