I am new here and trying to find the info, but I am retarded. I was wondering what all I will need to tap the oil pan for the greddy kit. Also, where is a good place to get a 2.5" downpipe from. I am from the domestic crowd, and I got my miata for a daily driver. My z28 now gets about 7mpg in town due to the motor that I put in. The thing is real sick, but bad gas mileage has forced that one out.

Shit, also wanted to ask about high idle problems. The car will idle fine when first started, but will stay up after the gas is hit. Does that sound more like a vacuum leak or a bad idle control motor. Also, on my camaro I was able to just pull this off, and shoot it with carb cleaner. Can I do that with this one also.

hey, welcome to the family. As far as the tapping of the pan goes, I think you will need a 1/2" tap with a steel barbed fitting (the biggest one you can find with 1/2" thread) you can get the barbed fitting from napa, thats where i got mine after wasting time talking to pimple faced teens at home depot and pep boys that dont know their *** from their elbow. the best 2.5" downpipe is the one you can get from TurboTony on this forum. Just email him, i think its turbotony2k@yahoo.com or look up his username on the forum. As far as that idle problem goes, mine had the same problem, it would idle high after the gas is hit and if i pulled up on the peddel with my foot it would return to normal. Turns out it was the throttle spring, just replace it and you will be good to go.
