Default New greddy kit installed..weird noise.

Hi, I just finished installing my greddy kit and for the first time boosting i hear a wining noise much like a bad alternator bearing or something..it comes at about 4-6k. I dont know much about turbos but i am not sure i like that sound..
How could i confirm that the turbo is getting oil???

Thanks

Maybe exhaust leak if it starts with boost

You're going to get flamed for not having an intro post

Are you sure it's not your turbo spooling and sucking in air?

If you hooked your lines up correctly. It is probably just the spooling your hearing.

Make sure your drain line is all down hill, no inclines at any points.

Need video's. and watch some on youtube to see if theres does the same thing.
Thats a fun kit.

lol. When i read the title to this thread, that was my kneejerk reaction:

"That weird noise is a problem with your exhaust and intake modifications. The best way to make the noise go away is to reinstall the stock unmodified header. Once that is complete, your weird noise will go away"

And then i read this

OP Being serious? Since I'm only 95% sure that it IS the turbo, I'm not going to call you a dipshit yet. If I'm right, I'll post the 1-word response "dipshit". LAWL!

Are the turbo bearings bad and the compressor or turbine is rubbing against housing? If you reach in and spin the compressor by hand can you make it rub against the housing at all?

I might have misread (sarcasm) but he did say he'll wait to see this develop. Then he will just simply post "dipshit", if his assumption was right.

Don't they teach you how to read over at CR.net?

Clean car btw. Needs more hardtop

Perhaps you could be a little more vague and say something even less descriptive than " my turbo is making some noise" so the chances of someone being able to help you could be hindered even more.

On a side note, you're not impressing anyone here by mentioning a clubturdster post...

DIPSHIT!!!

It doesn't really look like that. The pic is very oversaturated and post-processed. Just look at how the color in the barns in the background "pop." Barns don't usually "pop." But it is a very attractive automobile. I like it very much.

Look up pics of Danscreations car on this site. It is the same color and looks really sharp also.
