dude....I just got the same ticket a few months ago....what is the ticket code. cause all I had to do is pay my fine...no referee no smog inspection......suck thing is the cop was telling me otherwise...but when I went to the courthouse to pay the ticket the court chic was like "oh you don't need any proof of repairs....its just a standard payable ticket"...I wanted to kiss then punch her in the face .......granted its my fault for not researching...but you try and navagaite LA county websites and find anything but non-specific info on there.....so go to the courthouse and find out first...cause it will save time, money, and streess

this is what i found on hksusa.com but does that mean its CARB exempt in CA ?
HKS Super Mega Flow air intake systems produce smoother and more even airflow with increased velocity for optimal air/fuel atomization, which result in increased throttle response, horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency. CARB Executive Order # D-186-19

he'll never see the bipes, but yes you aren't allow to change your timing, so it would throw a red flag, but I doubt anyone would notice it, unless they look for it.
If you dont want to risk it, pull out the unit and reconnect the CAS wire together then your go to go. Just make sure your back at 10* timing.

If that is the right code, You got a ticket for the wrong kind of fuel cap!:gay: 27156 cvc deals with emission stuff but, 27156(b) talks about fuel caps and the affect they have on emissions.
You can go to the D.M.V. and ask for the C.V.C and look it up. If that is what you are charged with it will not stick. dont pay
