Hey guys,

My Jim-b- pipes suck *****. No matter what I do they don't fit worth **** and the way the hotside is routed makes it a pain to place the air filter anywhere decent even with out the AFM.

I've got a starion I/C that I would like to keep. I don't plan on re-doing the cold side since it seems to fit ok. I have PS but not AC, and would like to clock the turbo.

What I would really like to see are some pictures of where people have routed their pipes to clear the steering rack and PS pump. But any ideas that keep the Starion I/C would be considered.

This is what I am ultimately after, however this is a right hand drive car.

Mine used to be Jims crappy pipes but I got hold of a few 90 degrees and some couplers and made the above

Here's a few more pics so you can see how I routed the pipes.
It doesn't matter if you're left or right hand drive - this way will work regardless, and I'm the same as you with PAS but no AC.
I just clocked the turbo, moved the bottom pipe over to get the bends to it and fed the pipe more straight forward to the intercooler - that let me get the new 90 degree sections straight on and it doesn't come close to any pulleys or belts anywhere

Clocking the turbo is one of the easiest things to do as well - I just need to get a decent bracket made up for the wastegate, but the little bit of metal I'm using at the mo works well

What JB pipes are you using on the hoside still? Just the moulded rad house that connects to the IC?

So it looks like you've got turbo -> 90* -> 90* and then another 90?

I've got 1 tight radius j bend, so it looks like I'll require another one then?

In order of appearance from the turbo...

1x 90 into 1x 90 in an S shape to get me down below the PAS pump.
Then into the original jim J bend that runs to the pipe under the rad (into the Starion). I moved the connector around into the Starion though so I could re-position the J pipe further over and move it behind the bottom part of the PAS belt.
Out of the Starion into the original moulded rad hose and J pipe and then using stripes intake pipe up to the throttle body.

I looked at getting a smoother run down from the turbo but it's just not possible with the PAS in the way so I cut my losses and went for smooth stainless 90's

if you look at my cardomain, you can see that i made a new p/s intake hose and also moved the water pipe bracket on the chassis rail back so that the front hole now mounts by the rear bolt only, this gave me room to clock the turbo down, the ic pipe goes down, forward and then out under the chassis rail, then forward in the wheel arch, then kicks a 90 degree turn to hook up with the i/c. ill try to get some better pics of the turbo to i/c pipes for you...

Did you guys have to adjust the PS lines at all? I guess I gotta just start putting **** apart and get on it.

My PS lines are completely stock - didn't need to move them around at all.

In fact if you want to make it even easier for yourself - replace the lower rad hose with a flexible one into the block - that should give you loads more room to come straight down and then forwards!
