Default New Member's Question

Hi all,

I just joined the forum. I installed a greddy turbo on my 1991 miata a month ago. I am planning on upgrading to with Tony's DP and ETD Racing crossover pipe. I wonder if anyone knows whether I can run 6-8 psi (this is my goal) without an intercooler? Any suggestions will be great!

Thanks you all. Great formum by the way. Learned a lot from it so far.

You can with water injection (type of intake charge cooling) and the proper fueling. Check out the current group buy and talk with WideOpenTuning.

You can probably run 6psi as long as you have a device to retard timing (Bipes, MSD, Emanage). I wouldn't go beyond that with out an I/C or maybe water injection.

Before I dumped money into the Crossover or the DP I'd be looking into an I/C. For the cost of both items you could do an IC. Forum member stripes makes an IC kit that is very nice.

What are you using for fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and injectors?

Walbro 190, BEGI AFPR, and 1.8 injectors seem to be a common upgrade around here. I think you stock 1.6 injectors might be good untill 8 though. You can find 1.8s around pretty cheap though usually.
Someone pointed me to this link one time, great injector readme.
