Default some minor changes to my kit, (diy fmic, reclockage, and rad photos inside) 56k -_-"

not sure if any was interested or not, but i just wanted to post some photos of some changes to my car in the last month or so.

DSC_4363.jpg

minor exhaust upgrade, A spec L spec 3" exhaust with 7" tip to clear bumper. Lower part of the bumper was trimmed with a jigsaw to accommodate the leftside exit. Also the driverside tow hook was torched off in the process. and a new hanger was put in its place.

DSC02706.jpg

Exhaust guy welded directly to my turbo tony pipe right after the flex piece. 3" all the way back from there. turned out pretty clean, but im going to have to bootleg smog it now, or change my registration to somewhere other then clark (las vegas) and washoe (reno) county now.

DSC_4412.jpg

detail photo of the turbo tony dp and 3" piping.

mmr_02.jpg

also redid my diff mounts while i was upgrading to a 96' torsen II.

mmr_01.jpg

new mounts = )

mmr_03.jpg

old mounts.

28x9x2.75" intercooler from cxracing.com

DSC_4399.jpg

funny enough his warehouse is located in south el monte, ca. while i was down in La visiting the parents i was able to go directly to his warehouse and pick out all the pieces i needed. two chinese guys run the business and are very cool. When i bought everything down there you basically knock off $5-10 from the online price at cxracing.com.

koyo 53mm + aluminum stock brackets for the intercooler.

DSC_4405.jpg

look ma, it fits ! i cut that hole on the top in preparation for an oil cooler.

DSC_4400.jpg

my ghetto reclock bracket for the turbo. it works though = )

DSC_4403.jpg

also decided to sack up and tap the damn oil pan. my cars an oily mess. i know.

and i think that about concludes my slideshow of updates. Im currently repainting the interior of my car white. ill post photos if anyone is interested.

I been meaning to ask on CR but could you take a photo of how to mounted the exhaust on the driver side... The muffler will do.

I plan to do a driver side exhaust also, but wondering about hangers and locations.

Thanks

oh no kidding eh ? hm.. thats kind of disappointing. with my bumper all cut up people driving behind me get a nice view of the diff, i though the rear brace looked pretty cool, but wasn't sure on its performance. i guess thats $100 spent somewhere else.

Thanks for the advice.

Fabricate your own rear diffuser. You have enough room now to do it.

how did you cut the slot in your bumper? that's something that's growing on me.

i just figured out how thick and how long i wanted it, then i taped it off with masking tape. for the rounded corners i used the masking tape circular shape and traced it to my liking.

after everything was mocked up i drilled a hole big enough to fit the jigsaw blade and cut it. It still needs some shaping but looks alright for now i guess.

Is the hole in the front bumper allow for alot more air, or not significantly enough to actually cut it?
