turbo vs summer
I drove my car up a twenty mile grade yesterday and climbed 2K feet all at freeway speeds in 100* heat. I noticed that my temp gauge moved and if I coasted it seemed to get worse. It never went to the red but moved to the right of the middle.
It pissed me off and I dont know what to do? Water wetter?

Big aluminum radiator, 70/30 water to antifreeze and a shot of water-wetter (change yearly) and a 180 degree thermostat. Even with no undertray I can climb Palomar under boost or go ripping up the Imperial Mountains on I-8 without overheating the coolant.

Try a bigger radiator. I've got an FMIC blocking nearly all the airflow to mine, and my car just BARELY got warm (needle moved to 1pm vs. straight up and down) after 20 minute sessions in 108-degree heat this weekend at Buttonwillow. I've got a CSF 57mm radiator in my car.

A magical coolant addative manufactured by Redline which purports to increase the thermal conductivity of water. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_c...ubCategoryID=4
A similar product manufactured by Royal Purple: http://www.royalpurple.com/prodsa/prpice.html

I live in Denver and my GF lives in Vail. I went up there over the 4th of July and my temps never went past halfway. I am running closer to 70/30 water to anitfreeze, water wetter, and have dual fans running on an aluminum performance radiator. I am running 14 psi of boost and my IC is in front of about half of my radiator (custom IC that is long and skinny). The koyo aluminum radiators like this one seem to work well: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KOYO-...QQcmdZViewItem
Dual fans seem to have helped me alot if you have not already done that you may consider it.
