Default no boost, help!

Well, my greddy kit is not holding boost. The boost gauge holds at around 1lb but no higher. The turbo sounds extra loud and my car smells rich. I didn't notice any vacuum leaks though I am about to go over it again.

Thanks
-D

you have a vacuum leak or exhaust leak.

could easily be the intake holds under vacuum but leaks under boost.

It sounds more like the intake side. I'll be back in a bit and let you know if I find anything

Turbo sounds loud. Car smells rich. Sounds like an exhaust leak to me.

Sounds like he's probably has a leak on the pressurized side. I'd be checking everything from the turbo outlet to the throttle body to see if something's either split open (the stock accordian rubber thingy balloons like mad at anything over 5psi and will eventually split), or something has popped off.

The car runs rich because it's metering air that's escaping from the leak and is adding fuel for it.

Don't waste your time, go get replacement steel piping from WOT and be done with it !
It will only crack again.
I changed all my piping, couplers and got Tbolts. My Greddy is now clocked and I've got the engine strut bar back in

Thanks for the sites. I am installing an intercooler next month so I need a temp fix. Should I pick up another pipe or is there any epoxy or sealant that will hold 5lbs for a month?

BTW, a temporary repair can be made with duct tape until you get a replacement. That's what I did anyways..

I found it, thanks. That may actually be easier and it's pretty cheap. How is the feedback for this kit?

Well considering stripes was the only advertiser supported by this forum for a long time I would say it's pretty good. Everyone recommends his kit, it fits and he has everything figured out for you already. Buy the components he has listed and put it together.

Retailers supported by the forum have to be pretty badass, otherwise they wouldn't have a banner.

i have the stripes kit and it's awesome. if you have a turbo that puts the compressor outlet anywhere near where the stock greddy puts it, get stripes' kit.
