long as it keeps the ignition on for a set amount of time after key-off it would be fine. I really don't see why they have to be so damn big though because it should be a really simple circuit.
honestly though, you don't need a turbo timer unless you plan to go out and drive hard and shut it down immediately on a regular basis. Simply cruising easily during the final minute or two (depending on how hard you were driving), should be more than enough too cool the turbine to safe limits and if you use synthetic, there is an extra measure of safety already in place.
